When a thing is new, people say 'It is not true.' Later, when its truth becomes obvious, they say 'It is not important.' Finally, when its importance cannot be denied, they say 'Anyway, it is not new.'The above quote represents a frustration many of us working in the digital world or areas that change rapidly. The corollary is the all too common work experience of the staffer who regularly introduces a new idea to their superiors only to have it batted down again and again ... and then, one day be told, "Look at this great idea, why didn't you tell me about it?"
- William James
