"It takes forever for any change to occur. But when change happens, it happens really fast."Schwimer is, of course, referring to the concept of the tipping point (whether he knows it or not). Everything is stasis, static, and then, crash, boom, bah. Things are different. And the trouble is we can't usually predict just when that crash boom bah is going to happen.
Michael Schwimer, Philadelphia Philies Pitcher. in "The Glove that Would Change the Game" by Daniel Fromson. The Atlantic, April 2012.
So we go along our merry ways and the change happens. Sometimes you can see it coming (see "Remember the times of your life") and other times it's just a Black Swan.
[insert the usual analogies to the library world. Short summary, well, some people see the change a-comin' and are working to address the changes; others have their heads stuck in the sand and want to keep on keepin' on.]

So did any points tip for you today?? Seems a loaded post out of context...
No, no points tipped today! Sometimes there are just cumulative points!
