I came to Seattle for the ALA Midwinter conference this year. The last time I was here was seven years ago (also for ALA Midwinter).That year was also the 50th birthday of The Cat in the Hat. I was able to attend the birthday party where we had a great cake, some interesting drinks (Thing 1 and Thing 2).
Also at the party was Robert Ellett. Sadly, earlier this year we lost Robert. We'll all miss Dr. Robert and the fun, intelligence and humor he brought to our profession and lives.
